Women’s Basketball Falls At Youngstown State, 92-67

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's basketball team dropped just its second Horizon League contest of the season Monday evening, falling at Youngstown State, 92-67. The Vikings now stand at 9-8 overall this year and 4-2 in league play.

Game Stats
· Ashanti Abshaw led three Vikings in double-figures with 18 points, while Khayla Livingston added 16 points and Olivia Voskuhl added 11 points.
· Ashanti Abshaw grabbed a team-high nine rebounds, while Shadae Bosley posted eight boards.
· Alexis Eckles added seven points and two rebounds for the Vikings.
· Khayla Livingston handed out five assists against the Penguins.
· Shadae Bosley notched three blocked shots on the game, improving her career total to 67 blocked shots.

Game Notes
· With 16 points at YSU, Khayla Livingston is just shy of the 700-point mark for her career, ending the game with 687 points.
· Ashanti Abshaw now has 835 career points, leading all current Vikings.
· This marked just the second Horizon League loss for the Vikings this season.

The Game
After going into the halftime break trailing by seven points at 45-38, Youngstown State came out during the third quarter and outscored Cleveland State 24-15 to gain a 16-point advantage at the 69-53 mark heading into the final 10 minutes of play.

The two teams then traded baskets throughout the final 10 minutes of action, with Youngstown State extending their lead to 24 points after back-to-back three-pointers at the 89-65 mark, and then closed out the game for the 92-67 victory.
