CSU WINS FIVE STRAIGHT
Saturday's victory over Detroit marked the fifth straight win for the Vikings, as they enter Friday's contest with a 7-3 record over their last 10 games. During this stretch, CSU is averaging 80.4 points per game, and is shooting 44-percent from the floor. The victory over the Titans also kept CSU in second place in the league standings, as they are tied with Wright State with an 8-3 league mark.
COLEMAN CLOSING IN ON 1,000 CAREER POINTS
Following her 19th double-digit point performance of the season last time out, Cori Coleman now has 987 career points. Coleman, who needs just 13 more points to become the 24th Viking to record 1,000 points on their career, ranks ninth in the league averaging 15.4 points per game this season.
…COLEMAN ON THE 3-POINT TOP-10 LIST
A large portion of Coleman's points have come from behind-the-arc this season, as she has now tallied multiple three-pointers in the last seven games - and nine of the last 10. Coleman enters Friday's contest ranked sixth on the CSU career three-point list with 139 converted shots from behind-the-arc. For the year, Coleman ranks fifth among league players averaging 2.3 three-pointers per game.
AIDEYMAN PICKS UP OFFENSIVE PLAY
Adesuwa Aideyman has picked up her offensive play over the past five games, ranking second on the team averaging 16.4 points per game during this stretch. During this five-game span Aideyman has notched two 20-point games, including a career-high 23 point performance against Wright State (Feb. 8). She is shooting 50-percent from the field (27-for-54) and 47-percent from three-point (18-for-38).
GORDON NOTCHES EIGHTH DOUBLE-DOUBLE
Imani Gordon tallied her eighth double-double of the season last time out, posting 16 points and 11 rebounds against Detroit. Gordon, who is one of just three league players with at least eight double-doubles on the year, has tallied double-digit points in the past 11 games and double-digit rebounds in seven of the last 12 games.
VIKINGS ON FIRE FROM BEHIND-THE-ARC
Over the past five games Cleveland State has been on point from three-point range, averaging 13.2 three-pointers per game over this span. Against Wright State (Feb. 8) the Vikings tallied a then season-best 16 three-pointers, and followed that up with 17 three-pointers against Valparaiso (Feb. 13). Over the past five games CSU is shooting 41-percent from behind-the-arc, while three Vikings have notched 10 or more three-pointers (Aideyman-18, Coleman-16, Green-10).
…CSU ON THE 3-POINT SINGLE-SEASON LIST
Entering Friday's contest at Green Bay, the 2013-14 team ranks third on the single-season three-point list with 220 made three-pointers. CSU eclipsed the 200 three-point mark for just the fifth time in program history this season, and is just 12 baskets shy of the single-season record. On the year, the Vikings lead the league with a .364 clip from three-point, and average a league-leading 9.2 three-pointers per game.
GORDON IN LEAGUE GAMES ONLY
During Horizon League games only this season, Imani Gordon is one of three league players to average a double-double - ranking second with 19.4 points per game and 10.4 rebounds per game. Gordon has been CSU's top scorer during four league contests, and CSU's top rebounder during 10 contests. Through the first 11 league games, Gordon has six double-doubles and five 20+ point games.
…GORDON REACHES 400 POINTS & 200 REBOUNDS
Following her double-double against Detroit last weekend, Imani Gordon eclipsed 400 points and 200 rebounds for the season - just the third player to do so under head coach Kate Peterson Abiad and one of just two league players to achieve the feat this season. Entering Friday's contest, Gordon has a team-high 409 points and a team-high 226 rebounds.
CSU CONTINUES TO LEAD LEAGUE IN SHOOTING EFFICIENCY
After 15 weeks of play, the Vikings continue to lead the Horizon League with a .431 field goal percentage and a .364 three-point field goal percentage. If the season were to end right now, the .364 clip from behind-the-arc would be a program best, while the .431 clip from the field would rank third in the single season record book.
