The Cleveland State women's basketball team will begin a four-game homestand this weekend, hosting Horizon League leader Youngstown State at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1. Entering the weekend, CSU owns a 9-11 overall record and a 4-3 mark in league action, while YSU stands at 10-9 overall and 6-0 in league play. Saturday will be the 62nd meeting between the two teams, with Youngstown State owning a 35-26 advantage in the overall series.
LAST TIME OUT
The Vikings snapped a three-game losing skid, picking up a 76-66 victory at Valparaiso last Monday. CSU was in control for the majority of the game, holding the advantage for 33 minutes, including the final 31 minutes of the contest. The Vikings had three players score in double-figures, including Cori Coleman and Adesuwa Aideyman who both eclipsed the 20-point mark - the third time this season that CSU had two players with at least 20 points in the same game.
A WIN SATURDAY WOULD…

COLEMAN CLOSING IN ON 1,000 CAREER POINTS
Following her 24-point performance at Valparaiso - the sixth 20-point game of her career - Cori Coleman eclipsed the 900 point mark, and enters Saturday's contest with 915 career points. Coleman, who needs just 85 more points (an average of 8.5 ppg) to become the 24th Viking to record 1,000 points on their career, ranks ninth in the league averaging 14.9 points per game this season.
…COLEMAN CRACKS 3-POINT TOP-10 LIST
A large portion of Coleman's points have come from three-pointers this season, as she has converted a team-best 43 shots from behind-the-arc. Following a 3-for-5 performance at UIC last Saturday, Coleman cracked the three-point field goal top-10 list, and enters Saturday's contest ranked 10th with 128 career three-pointers. She needs just one more three-pointer to move into ninth place, two more to move into eighth place and five more to move into seventh place on the list. For the year, Coleman ranks fifth among league players averaging 2.2 three-pointers per game.
VIKING OFFENSE
Through the first 20 games of the season the Vikings have three players averaging double-digit points - with all three of them ranking in the top-10 in the league standings. Imani Gordon ranks sixth (17.4 ppg), Cori Coleman ranks ninth (14.9 ppg) and Kiersten Green ranks 10th (14.8 ppg), making Cleveland State the only team with three players ranked in the top-10. This trio has accounted for 940 points this season - 63-percent of CSU's offense.
VIKING STARTING FIVE
So far this season Cleveland State is the only Horizon League team to start the same starting lineup in all of their games, as Imani Gordon, Adesuwa Aideyman, Cori Coleman, Kiersten Green, and Haley Schmitt have started all 20 games for the Vikings. All five starters are averaging at least 24.0 minutes per game, led by Gordon who is averaging 37.9 minutes per contest.
AIDEYMAN FROM BEHIND-THE-ARC
Adesuwa Aideyman, who has been quiet offensively in the last seven games, had an excellent performance from three-point range at Valparaiso - knocking down a career-high seven three-pointers. Aideyman combined for a career-high 22 points, including 15 during the first half off of five three-pointers. The seven three-pointers ties for the second-best single game mark in program history, while it also ties the season-best mark among league players.
…VIKINGS FROM BEHIND-THE-ARC
Thanks in large part to Aideyman's performance from behind-the-arc, the Vikings were able to tally a season-best 15 three-pointers at Valparaiso last Monday. The 15 three-pointers is the second-best single game mark in program history, and ties the season-best mark among league teams. The Vikings have knocked down at least 10 three-pointers in nine games this season, and lead the league with a .354 clip from behind-the-arc (169-for-477).
…CSU CLOSING IN ON 3-POINT SINGLE-SEASON LIST
With 169 three-pointers through the first 20 games, Cleveland State is on track to finish with a top-five single-season progam mark, needing just 22 more three-pointers to rank fifth all-time. The Vikings, who are averaging a league-best 8.5 three-pointers per game, are 31 three-pointers shy of becoming just the fifth team in program history to convert 200 shots from behind-the-arc in a single season.
GORDON IN LEAGUE GAMES ONLY
After the first four weeks of Horizon League play, Imani Gordon is averaging 21.6 points and 10.6 rebounds in league games only - one of just three players to be averaging a double-double. Gordon leads the league in scoring and ranks second in rebounding, while she also ranks 10th in field goal percentage (.485).
