SETTING THE SCENE
The Cleveland State women's basketball team will close out its four-game homestand this Wednesday (November 27), hosting Morehead State in a 1:00 p.m. contest. Wednesday's game will be just the second meeting between the two teams, with Morehead State owning the 1-0 series advantage. Entering the contest Cleveland State stands at 1-3 on the season, while Morehead State is 4-3.
LAST TIME OUT
The Vikings put up a solid effort against Florida Atlantic, coming up just short in the final minutes, falling to the Owls, 81-78. The two teams were close throughout the contest, as there were 16 lead changes and 11 ties. For the third time this season the Vikings had at least three players post double-digit points, led by Imani Gordon with 18.

Improve the Vikings to 2-3 on the season…Even the overall series against Morehead State at 1-1…Allow the Vikings to close out their brief homestand with a 2-2 record.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Morehead State enters Wednesday's contest with a 4-3 record, including a perfect 3-0 mark on the road. Throughout the Eagles' first three road contests, MSU is averaging 70.7 points per game and shooting 40-percent from the field. The Eagles have two players averaging double-digit points so far this season - Terrice Robinson (20.0) and Almesha Jones (11.9), while Shanice Parker is just shy averaging 9.0 points per game. Morehead State's Taybreanna Couch has a .556 field goal percentage (10-18) through the first seven games. MSU is averaging 12.6 assists per game, led by Jones who has a team-high 35 and ranks third in the Ohio Valley Conference averaging 5.0 per contest
GORDON SETS CAREER-HIGH
Junior Imani Gordon posted a career-high 18 points against Florida Atlantic last weekend, marking her fourth double-digit scoring game of the season and the 16th of her career. Gordon, who was 7-for-12 from the field (.583), ranks ninth in the Horizon League averaging 13.8 points per contest. Gordon also ranks ninth with a .450 field goal percentage this season, converting 18 of her 40 field goals.
…AND NOTCHES FIRST DOUBLE-DOUBLE
Along with her career-high 18 points, Imani Gordon also tallied a team-high 13 rebounds, posting her first double-double of the season and the third of her career. Gordon grabbed two offensive boards and 11 defensive rebounds, giving her a team-high 35 total rebounds on the season. After the first three weeks of the 2013-14 season, Gordon leads the league averaging 7.3 defensive rebounds and ranks sixth averaging 8.8 total rebounds per game.
AIDEYMAN FOLLOWS SUIT WITH CAREER-HIGH
Sophomore Adesuwa Aideyman also recorded a career-high against the Owls, posting 16 points on a 6-for-10 effort from the field. Aideyman also notched a career-high six assists, playing a career-high 36 minutes. Aideyman now leads the team averaging 3.3 assists per game, and ranks ninth among league players.
GREEN LEADING THE VIKING OFFENSE
After the first three weeks of the season, Kiersten Green leads the Vikings averaging 18.0 points per game and ranks fifth in the league in the category. Green has posted double-digit points in all four games so far this year, including a career-high of 28 in the season opener at Butler (Nov. 8). Green also ranks fourth in the league in field goal percentage, owning a .524 clip through four games (22-42), and leads the league with a .643 shooting percentage from behind the arc (9-14).
SCHMITT EFFICIENT FROM THE FIELD
Senior Haley Schmitt has been efficient from the floor through the first four games this season, leading the Vikings and the league with a .583 field goal percentage. Schmitt has converted 14 of her 24 shots from the field, averaging 8.8 points per game.
WOLSTEIN CENTER STEALS RECORD
As a team, Cleveland State tallied 27 steals against Lake Erie (Nov. 14) - marking a Wolstein Center record. The 27 steals ranks second in program history, behind 28-steal performances during the 1983-84 and 1980-81 seasons. Nine Vikings tallied steals against the Storm, including five that notched three or more (Coleman 7, Gordon 4, Schmitt 3, Smith 3, Voskuhl 3).
