CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's and women's basketball teams hosted their annual Viking Madness event on Saturday night in the Wolstein Center.
The 1970's themed event kicked off with player introductions down a Soul Train line. After a performance by the CSU cheer and dance teams, the basketball squads took the court and showcased their skills throughout the evening.
The teams faced off in a three-point contest with the four men's players - Trey Lewis, Bryn Forbes, Charlie Lee and Andre Yates - winning over the four women's players - Haley Schmitt, Cori Coleman, Kiersten Green and Khayla Livingston.
Livingston did her best to rally the women's squad, knocking down eight three's in the final 30 seconds.
Both teams had 10 minute scrimmages and the evening concluded with a slam dunk contest won by senior Jon Harris who defeated freshman Demonte Flannigan and junior Marlin Mason.
The women's exhibition opener is on Nov. 3 at 2:00 p.m. against Ursuline, while the men host Lake Erie on Nov. 5 at 7:00 p.m. in their lone exhibtion contest.
