CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State will host Viking Madness, the first opportunity for the public to see the 2013-14 men's and women's basketball teams, on Saturday, Oct. 19, in the Wolstein Center beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Admission to Viking Madness is free to the public.
Viking Madness will conincide with CSU Homecoming activities. The event will kick off with a parade at 5:00 p.m. that begins at Krenzler Field and ends at the Wolstein Center with a tailgate party.
Viking Madness kicks off at 6:30 p.m., giving fans their first chance to meet the CSU men's and women's basketball teams. The festivities will include an opening skit, a skills demonstration, a three-point contest, scrimmages by the men's and women's teams and a slam dunk fest featuring the men's squad.
T-shirts will be handed out to the first 500 fans in attendance. In addition, three CSU students will be randomly selected for a chance to win $1,000 courtesy of Langston Apartments.
Following Viking Madness, a concert featuring Childish Gambino will start at 8:00 p.m.
With their valid Cleveland State University Student ID, students can purchase $10.00 General Admission Standing Room Only Floor tickets (limited number available) or $5.00 General Admission tickets (located in the lower and upper levels). In addition, CSU students have the opportunity to purchase 1 (one) additional companion seat at the same prices. ID names and numbers will be verified and students will have to sign for their ticket.
