SETTING THE SCENE
Cleveland State will begin its busiest stretch of the league schedule this Thursday (Feb. 7), hosting Wright State in a 7:00 p.m. contest. Thursday's game will mark the first of five contests in the next 12 days, and one of just two home contests during that span. The Vikings enter the week standing at 10-10 overall, and currently on a five-game losing skid, with their last victory coming against Detroit on Jan. 12.

LAST TIME OUT

The Vikings overcame a 14-point first half deficit to force their second overtime contest of the season, but came up short in the extra period, falling at Valparaiso, 92-84. The loss dropped CSU to 10-10 on the season and 2-5 in league play.

A WIN THURSDAY WOULD...
Snap a five-game losing skid for the Vikings...Improve CSU's advantage in the overall series to 32-28 against Wright State...Mark just the sixth win over the Raiders in the past five seasons.

GORDON TALLIES DOUBLE-DOUBLE AT VALPARAISO
Imani Gordon tallied the second double-double of her career last Saturday, posting 11 points and 10 rebounds at Valparaiso. Gordon's 10 rebounds against the Crusaders marked a team-high, while it also marked just the second time this season that she has notched double-digit rebounds (18 @ Illinois). Gordon is now just six rebounds shy of reaching 100 boards on the season - and would become the second Viking to do so.

VIKING OFFENSE VS. VALPARAISO
For the second time this season CSU had five players notch double-figures in the same game, as the five starters tallied 82 of CSU's 84 points against Valparaiso last Saturday. Shalonda Winton led the Vikings with 28 points, while Kiersten Green notched 18 - her fourth straight double-digit scoring game. Honesty King added 14 and Imani Gordon and Cori Coleman each posted 11.

WINTON REACHES 1,600 CAREER POINTS
With her 12th 20-point game of the season against the Crusaders, Shalonda Winton passed 1,600 career points, becoming just the fifth player to do so and the second under head coach Kate Peterson Abiad. Winton, who has averaged double-digit points for the past three seasons, is the 15th Horizon League player to reach the milestone, joining Youngstown State's Brandi Brown (1,814 points) as the only two active players.

GREEN RECORDS CAREER-HIGH AT DETROIT
With a 10-for-14 performance from the floor (.714), Kiersten Green tallied a career-high 25 points at Detroit last Thursday, including a career-best four three-pointers. The contest against the Titans marked the first 20-point game of Green's career, making her the third Viking to reach 20 points in at least one contest this season. Green ranks third on the team with a .459 field goal percentage, which also ranks ninth in the Horizon League.

COLEMAN NOTCHES FIRST DOUBLE-DOUBLE
Cori Coleman notched the first double-double of her career at Detroit last Thursday, posting 19 points and 10 rebounds. Coleman, who led the Vikings in rebounds against the Titans, is one of four players to tally a double-double this season for CSU.

WINTON ON THE REBOUNDING CHARTS
Shalonda Winton posted nine rebounds for the second straight game last Saturday, and enters Thursday's contest ranking second on the all-time rebound list at CSU with 976 boards. Winton, who ranks second in the league averaging 10.7 rebounds per game, is now 55 boards shy of becoming the all-time leader at Cleveland State. With at least nine games left in the 2012-13 season, Winton needs to average 6.2 rebounds per contest to become the all-time leader at CSU.

...CLOSING IN ON 1,500 POINTS & 1,000 REBOUNDS
Shalonda Winton is also closing in on becoming just the second player in program history to notch 1,500 points and 1,000 rebounds on their career, entering Saturday's contest with 1,621 points and 976 rebounds. With 24 more boards, Winton would join Audra Cook (1,805 pts & 1,030 rbs) as the only Vikings to reach the milestone and would join Youngstown State's Brandi Brown (2009-prs.) and Milwaukee's Traci Edwards (2006-09) as the only league players to achieve the mark.

UP NEXT
The Vikings will continue their busy stretch on Saturday (Feb. 9), traveling to Loyola for a 3:00 p.m. EST contest. CSU will then return home to host UIC at 7:00 p.m. on Monday (Feb. 11).
