SETTING THE SCENE
The Vikings will return to the Wolstein Center Monday (Feb. 11) to continue Horizon League play against UIC. Cleveland State will host the Flames at 7:00 p.m. in its third of five contests in a 12-day span. CSU stands at 11-11 entering Monday's contest, and will be going for the season sweep of UIC - after earning a 73-69 overtime victory against the Flames earlier this season.

A WIN MONDAY WOULD...
Give CSU the season sweep of UIC...Improve CSU's record to 21-9 over UIC at the Wolstein Center...Mark the 11th victory for the Vikings out of the last 14 contests against UIC...Give head coach Kate Peterson Abiad her 130th career victory.

SCOUTING THE FLAMES
UIC enters Monday's contest standing at 7-14 overall this season and 3-5 in league play...Last time out the Flames earned an 84-67 victory over Milwaukee, snapping a four-game losing skid...UIC's other two league victories came over Loyola (73-62) and Valparaiso (82-75)...As a team, UIC leads the league averaging 4.0 blocks per game and ranks third with 14.0 assists per contest...UIC is the only league team to have at least 300 offensive boards this season - averaging a league-best 14.6 per game...UIC's top scorer Rachel Story ranks fifth in the league averaging 15.1 points per game, while Katie Hannemann ranks 11th with 13.0 points per game...Megan Wallace has a league-best 33 blocked shots on the season.

MONDAY WILL MARK 300th GAME FOR PETERSON ABIAD
Monday's contest against UIC will mark the 300th game for head coach Kate Peterson Abiad during her tenure at Cleveland State. Peterson Abiad, who has led the Vikings for the last 10 seasons, became the all-time winningest coach at Cleveland State last year and has guided the Vikings to 19 wins or more during four seasons, including 21 during 2010-11.

WINTON NOTCHES 13th DOUBLE-DOUBLE
Shalonda Winton recorded her 13th double-double of the season last Saturday, posting 25 points and 10 rebounds against Loyola. Winton, who now has 40 double-doubles on her career, ranks second in the league with her 13 double-doubles this season.

...WINTON NOW LEAGUE SCORING LEADER
Following her 14th 20-point game of the season last time out, Shalonda Winton now leads the league averaging 22.2 points per game. Entering Monday's contest Winton is just 11 points shy of reaching 500 for the season, standing at 489. This would be the second time that Winton has notched at least 500 points in a season, also doing so last year (566 points).

GORDON RETURNING TO FORM
After missing the Detroit game on Jan. 12 due to injury and struggling to find her offense over the next four games, Imani Gordonhas finally found her offensive touch, recording double-digit performances in the past three contests. Against Valparaiso (Feb. 2) Gordon notched her second double-double of the year with 11 points and 10 rebounds, then posted 14 points on a 4-for-8 performance from the field against Wright State (Feb. 7) and tallied 10 points against Loyola last time out. So far this season, Gordon is averaging 7.1 points per contest and has notched a .369 field goal percentage.

SCHMITT REACHES DOUBLE-DIGITS FOR THIRD TIME
Haley Schmitt recorded double-digit points for the third time this season, notching 10 points against Loyola. Schmitt was 4-for-5 from the field against the Ramblers, including a perfect 2-for-2 performance from behind the arc. Schmitt's other two double-digit performances came against VCU (career-high 12 points) and Miami (Ohio) (11 points) earlier this season.

COLEMAN ON FIRE FROM THREE-POINT
For the ninth time this season Cori Coleman notched three three-pointers in a contest, posting a 3-for-7 performance from behind the arc at Loyola. Coleman, who ranks fourth in the league with a .391 three-point field goal percentage, has a team-high 45 three-pointers on the season. Coleman has been averaging 2.0 three-pointers a game this year, and recorded a career-high five against UIC back in January.

VIKINGS FROM THE FIELD
For the 12th time this year Cleveland State posted at least a .400 clip from the field, recording a .450 field goal percentage (27-60) at Loyola. On the season, CSU ranks third in the Horizon League with a .410 field goal percentage and ranks second averaging 68.1 points per contest.

WINTON ON THE REBOUNDING CHARTS
With her 13th double-digit rebounding game of the season against Loyola last time out, Shalonda Winton now has 995 career rebounds, and ranks second all-time at CSU. Winton, who ranks second in the league averaging 10.5 rebounds per game, is now 36 boards shy of becoming the all-time leader at Cleveland State. With at least seven games left in the 2012-13 season, Winton needs to average 5.2 rebounds per contest to become the all-time leader at CSU.

...CLOSING IN ON 1,500 POINTS & 1,000 REBOUNDS
Shalonda Winton is also closing in on becoming just the second player in program history to notch 1,500 points and 1,000 rebounds on their career, entering Monday's contest with 1,670 points and 995 rebounds. With just five more boards, Winton would join Audra Cook (1,805 pts & 1,030 rbs) as the only Vikings to reach the milestone and would join Youngstown State's Brandi Brown (2009-prs.) and Milwaukee's Traci Edwards (2006-09) as the only league players to achieve the mark.

UP NEXT
The Vikings will begin a three-game roadswing Thursday (Feb. 14), traveling to league-leading Green Bay for an 8:00 p.m. EST contest. During this stretch Cleveland State will also travel to Milwaukee (Feb. 16) and Youngstown State (Feb. 21).
