SETTING THE SCENE
The Vikings will continue their homestand Saturday (Jan. 19), hosting Milwaukee at 2:00 p.m. Entering Saturday's contest CSU ranks second in the league with an overall record of 10-6 and a 2-1 mark in league play. The Panthers currently sit ninth with an overall record of 4-10 and an 0-2 mark in the Horizon League. The Vikings, who will be trying to get back on the winning track, will be going for their 10th win out of their last 12 games.
LAST TIME OUT
Cleveland State dropped a heartbreaker to league-leading Green Bay on Thursday (Jan. 17), falling to the Phoenix, 52-49. The loss was just the second for the Vikings over the past seven weeks.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
Milwaukee enters Saturday's contest still searching for its first league victory this season, most recently falling at Youngstown State (67-50)...Milwaukee has struggled on the road so far this season, owning just a 1-7 record when playing away from home...The Panthers rank second in the league averaging 67.3 points per game, while they lead the league with a .352 three-point field goal percentage...Angela Rodriguez, who averages a team-high 14.7 ppg ranks second in the league with a .395 three-point field goal percentage, while Sami Tucker ranks third with a .390 clip from behind the arc this year.
COLEMAN LEADS HL IN 3-PT PERCENTAGE
Cori Coleman, who has a team-high 34 three-pointers this season, now leads the league with a .415 field goal percentage from behind the arc. Coleman has posted at least two three-pointers in 10 games this year, including a stretch of six straight from Nov. 28 through Dec. 22.
WINTON ON THE REBOUNDING CHARTS
Shalonda Winton, who is only the third Viking all-time to reach 900 career rebounds, posted 12 against Green Bay improving her career total to 941. Winton enters today's contest tied for second all-time at CSU and first in the league this season averaging 11.1 rebounds per game. She is now 90 boards shy of becoming the all-time leader at Cleveland State - and with at least 13 games left in the 2012-13 season, Winton needs to average 7.0 rebounds per contest to become the all-time leader at CSU.
CSU POSTS STRONG DEFENSE AGAINST PHOENIX
Despite the outcome, Cleveland State had one of its best defensive performances against Green Bay, holding the Phoenix to a season-low 14 points during the opening half and a .261 clip from the floor (6-23) - the second lowest mark of the season. The Vikings held the Phoenix to 52 points Thursday evening, 12 points below Green Bay's season average of 64.3 points per game.

Cleveland State leads the league with a .224 three-point field goal percentage defense...CSU ranks second averaging 27.3 defensive rebounds per contest and 14.7 offensive rebounds per contest...Shalonda Winton leads the league averaging 23.3 points per game and ranks second averaging 12.3 rebounds per game...Cori Coleman ranks fourth with a .429 three-point field goal percentage and third averaging 3.0 three-pointers per game...Kiersten Green ranks fifth averaging 2.7 steals per contest.
COLEMAN REACHES 200 POINT MARK
With 12 points against Green Bay Thursday, Cori Coleman reached the 200-point mark for the season and became just the fourth Viking to record 200 points in both their freshman and sophomore seasons under head coach Kate Peterson Abiad (Shalonda Winton, Kailey Klein, Dominique Butler). Coleman, who posted a career-high 21 points at Green Bay last season (2/16/12), has 10 double-digit scoring games this year and 22 on her career.
WINTON DOUBLE-DIGIT SCORING STREAK
As of January 17, Shalonda Winton ranks fifth nationally with 36 straight double-digit scoring games, dating back to the Lake Erie contest last season (Dec. 28). Winton is one of only five players nationally to score in double-digits for 30 straight games, joining Baylor's Brittney Griner (96), UT Martin's Heather Butler (82), Delaware's Elena Delle Donne (59) and Ohio State's Tayler Hill (51).

The Vikings will close out their homestand next Thursday (Jan. 24), hosting Youngstown State at 7:00 p.m. Thursday's contest against the Penguins will be the 58th in the all-time series.
