Cleveland State kept its league record perfect last Saturday (Jan. 12), defeating Detroit, 77-66. The win was the ninth out of the last 10 games for the Vikings, as they now stand at 10-5 on the season and 2-0 in league play.

WINTON SETS CAREER-HIGH AGAINST TITANS
Shalonda Winton recorded the fourth 30-point game of her career last Saturday (Jan. 12), posting a career-high 32 points against Detroit. Winton, who also tallied 31 points against Nevada (Nov. 23) earlier this season, leads the league with 339 total points this year, while she ranks second averaging 22.6 points per contest. Winton is one of just six league players to have a 30-point game this season, and one of just three to have multiple 30-point games.
HOLIFIELD HAS BREAKOUT GAME VS. DETROIT
Freshman Nafeshia Holifield had an excellent performance against Detroit last time out, recording career-highs with six points and six rebounds in 21 minutes played. Holifield, who was averaging just 5.4 minutes per game before last Saturday's contest, helped the CSU defense hold Shareta Brown - the leading scorer in the league - to eight points below her average. Holifield also notched a career-best two steals, one block and one assist against the Titans.
COLEMAN HOT FROM BEHIND THE ARC
Cori Coleman recorded a career-high five three-pointers at UIC last Wednesday (Jan. 9), including a 4-for-4 performance during the first half. Coleman's fifth three-pointer of the game came with just 11-seconds left in regulation, forcing the overtime period. So far this season, Coleman has a team-high 33 three-pointers - 18 of which have come during the second half.
...CONTINUES AGAINST DETROIT
Cori Coleman's three-point accuracy continued against Detroit, as she was 3-for-6 from behind the arc. Coleman, who has posted at least three three-pointers in seven games this year, ranks second in the league with a .434 three-point field goal percentage, while she also broke into the top-100 nationally - ranking 17th as of Monday, January 14.
GREEN RECORDS DOUBLE-DOUBLE AT UIC
Kiersten Green recorded the first double-double of her career at UIC last Wednesday (Jan. 9), posting 11 points and a career-high 11 rebounds. The game marked the ninth double-digit scoring game of the season for Green and her first-ever double-digit rebounding game.
...AND JUST SHY OF A TRIPLE-DOUBLE
Along with her 11 points and 11 rebounds, Kiersten Green was just short of notching a triple-double - also adding a career-high eight assists to the stat sheet. Green, who also tied her career-best with five steals, is one of just two Vikings to record eight or more assists in a game this season, and one of three Vikings with at least five steals in a game this year.
WINTON ON THE REBOUNDING CHARTS
Shalonda Winton, who is only the third Viking all-time to reach 900 career rebounds, posted 10 against Detroit improving her career total to 929. Winton enters Thursday's contest ranked third all-time at CSU and tied for first in the league this season averaging 11.1 rebounds per game. She is now 13 boards shy of moving into second place on the career list and 102 rebounds shy of becoming the all-time leader at Cleveland State. With at least 14 games left in the 2012-13 season, Winton needs to average 7.3 rebounds per contest to become the all-time leader at CSU.
...CLOSING IN ON 1,500 POINTS & 1,000 REBOUNDS
Shalonda Winton is also closing in on becoming just the second player in program history to notch 1,500 points and 1,000 rebounds on their career, after eclipsing the point total with 32 against Detroit. With 71 more rebounds, Winton would join Audra Cook (1,805 pts & 1,030 rbs) as the only Vikings to reach the milestone and would join Youngstown State's Brandi Brown (2009-prs.) and Milwaukee's Traci Edwards (2006-09) as the only league players to achieve the mark.
WINTON DOUBLE-DIGIT SCORING STREAK
As of January 14, Shalonda Winton ranks fifth nationally with 35 straight double-digit scoring games, dating back to the Lake Erie contest last season (Dec. 28). Winton is one of only five players nationally to score in double-digits for 30 straight games, joining Baylor's Brittney Griner (95), UT Martin's Heather Butler (81), Delaware's Elena Delle Donne (58) and Ohio State's Tayler Hill (50).
