MANHEIM, Pa. – Last week the National Wrestling Coaches Association announced that Cleveland State's Marcus Robinson was added to the list of NWCA Scholar All-Americans for the 2020-21 season.

Robinson joins teammates DeAndre Nassar and Riley Smucker as NWCA Scholar All-Americans, marking the first time in recent history that Cleveland State has had three or more student-athletes earn the honor.
During the 2020-21 campaign Robinson was named to the Cleveland State University Dean's List, finishing the year with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 studying health sciences, pre-physician's assistant. Earlier this spring, Robinson was named to the MAC All-Academic Team, and was one of three Cleveland State qualifiers for the 2021 NCAA Championships.
In addition to the individual honors, Cleveland State also ranked third in the NWCA's annual Top-30 Scholar All-American team standings – the highest ranking in recent history – after posting a 3.5331 team GPA at the time of nomination. The Vikings were the highest of nine MAC teams to be ranked in the top-30, while they were also the highest of four Ohio teams to be featured.
