2017-18 – FRESHMAN SEASON
Started 11 of the team’s 13 dual matches across multiple weight classes … Placed fourth at EWL Championships … Won 12 matches while representing CSU … Won four matches while competing unattached in the season-opening Clarion Open … Beat a Big Ten opponent in his first bout representing CSU at the EMU Open … Finished third at the EMU Open (Freshman/Sophomore Division) at 157 pounds … Got his first collegiate dual win against Northern Illinois … Moved up to 165 pounds in early December … Beat an ACC opponent at Cleveland State Open … Beat an Ohio State foe en route to finishing second at Purple Raider Open … Went 3-3 in EWL dual action, with a win by fall over George Mason … Won a pair of matches at EWL Tournament to place … Lost to the top seed by four points and lost third-place match by two points.

Pre-CSU
Won the Ohio state title at 152 pounds as a junior, the first state title for a Canfield wrestler since 1999 … Won each of his final 43 matches to finish the 2015-16 season 45-2 and was subsequently named Wrestler of the Year by The (Youngstown) Vindicator … Was a 2016 Ironman champion at 160 pounds … Advanced to Ohio state championship match at 160 pounds in 2017 before losing in overtime … Finished his senior season with a 43-1 mark … Went 5-1 with two wins via fall to place third at FloNationals at 160 pounds in 2017 … Also finished third at NHSCA tournament at 170 pounds in 2017 … Placed at the prestigious Super 32 Challenge in 2015 at 152 pounds … Won sectional and district titles as a sophomore at 126 pounds and placed at the state tournament for the second consecutive season … Was nationally ranked by Intermat during his senior season.
