Morrow Takes Second at Ohio Intercollegiate Open

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Sophomore Chris Morrow of the Cleveland State University wrestling team took second as a pair of Vikings competed at the Ohio Intercollegiate Open Sunday inside Case Western's Veale Center.

Morrow dominated en route to the finals at the 184-pound weight class. He pinned his quarterfinal opponent in 70 seconds before pinning his next foe in the second period. Morrow dropped a high-scoring, 18-12, decision in the finals.

Redshirt freshman Mike Santillo was the other Viking to compete Sunday. After dropping his opening match, 9-5, Santillo picked up a win via major decision in the consolation quarterfinals. However, he would drop his next match to close his participation in the event.

Cleveland State will next be in action Tuesday, Nov. 22, when it competes in the Thanksgiving Throwdown, facing host Ohio State along with Kent State.
