CLEVELAND, Ohio – Redshirt junior Nick Corba of the Cleveland State University wrestling team is set to make his NCAA Championships debut in the 184-pound weight class Thursday at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.

Thursday's afternoon session will be televised on ESPNU while the evening session will be on ESPN. Thursday's opening session begins at Noon (ET) with the evening session commencing at 7:00 p.m. (ET).

Corba earned one of five at-large berths at his weight class when selections were announced last Tuesday, March 7. He is the first Viking to earn an at-large berth to NCAA's under head coach Ben Stehura and is the first Viking to compete at 184 at NCAA's since 2006.
Corba enters the event with a 23-8 overall record this season, all of which came at 184 pounds. He owns 13 bonus-point wins and wrestled eight matches this season against competitors who are also in the NCAA field. Corba finished second at the Eastern Wrestling League Championships, dropping a 6-3 decision in the title match, and was ranked among the top 18 in the latest rankings released by both Intermat and TrackWrestling.
Corba will begin his NCAA career by facing Robert Steveson of Minnesota, an automatic qualifier from the Big Ten, in Thursday's opening session. The winner of that bout will face No. 12 seed Drew Foster of Northern Iowa later on in Thursday's opening session. With his draw, Corba will wrestle either one or two matches in Thursday's opening session and one or two matches in Thursday's evening session.
This will be the third consecutive season, and fourth in five years, in which at least one Viking has competed at NCAA's. Corba's selection was the 132nd all-time for a Viking student-athlete to NCAA's since the program's first selection in 1965.
