INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Cleveland State men's tennis sophomore Jorg van der Vloet was named the Horizon League Player of the Week, after leading the Vikings to a pair of road wins last weekend. The honor is the second of the season for van der Vloet and the fourth for CSU.

van der Vloet went 2-0 in singles action over the weekend as the Vikings picked up a 5-2 win at Butler and a 4-3 win at Wright State. The victory over WSU clinched the No. 2 seed for the Vikings in the upcoming Horizon League Tournament, which begins this Friday (April 26).

Against Butler, van der Vloet posted a 6-2, 6-4 win, while he earned a matching 6-2, 6-4 victory against Wright State - both at No. 1 singles. So far this spring van der Vloet has a 9-11 singles record, and enters the Horizon League Tournament on a three-match win streak.

van der Vloet and the Vikings will begin play in the Horizon League Tournament on Saturday (April 27), facing the winner of No. 3 Youngstown State/No. 6 Detroit in a semifinal contest. The championship match will then be played on Sunday (April 28). All of the matches will take place at North Central High School in Indianapolis, Ind.
