Men’s Tennis Opens Play At ITA Midwest Regional

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Cleveland State men's tennis team returned to action Thursday, competing at the ITA Midwest Regional. Thursday's action consisted of two rounds of the Qualifying Singles Draw, with five Vikings on the courts.

Although the Vikings weren't able to advance in the draw, Cleveland State had the best result from Colton Buffington, as he dropped a hard-fought three-set match against an opponent from Northern Illinois (2-6, 7-6, 6-2).

Action will continue tomorrow (Friday, October 21) at the ITA Midwest Regional with freshman Nico Mostardi competing in the Main Singles Draw, and three Viking tandems competing in the Main Doubles Draw.
