
GENEVA, Ohio – The Vikings completed the first day of the A-10 Challenge on Thursday evening with the men in fourth and women in fifth.
Jackson Nester claimed the top spot in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:01.62. The closest finisher was from Oakland with a time of 4:09.11.
Cleveland State had a pair of top-five finishers in the 500-yard freestyle with Nester (4:39.51) in third and Spencer Tussing (4:42.11) in fifth.
Paddy Johnston tied for third in the 50-yard freestyle, touching the wall in a swift 20.98.
In the 200-yard freestyle, Cleveland State finished fourth through sixth with Nathen Eberhardt (1:42.76), Nester (1:43.89), and Connor Green (1:44.14).
Brooke Eichel placed fifth in 1-meter diving with a score of 215.35.
Cleveland State concludes the A-10 challenge tomorrow with a single session at 9 a.m.
