Sikatzki Closes Illustrious Career with NCAA 100 Free

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Senior Philipp Sikatzki of the Cleveland State University men's swimming team closed his record-setting collegiate career Saturday morning by competing in the 100 freestyle at the NCAA Championships inside IU Natatorium.

Sikatzki finished 35th in the 100 freestyle, in 43.52 seconds, in a field of more than 50 competitors.

Earlier this seaosn, Sikatzki became the first student-athlete in Horizon League history to be named Men's Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Year in back-to-back seasons. Sikatzki won eight individual titles at the League Championships in the three seasons in which he swam in the League.

Sikatzki, the first athlete in program history to earn First Team All-America honors, will leave CSU as the owner of school records in five individual events. Along with his teammates, he also holds school records in four different relay disciplines.
