Kermack Earns Scholar All-America Honors From CSCAA

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its 2014 Individual Scholar All-Americans on Monday with Cleveland State senior Justin Kermack garnering honorable mention honors.

Kermack carries a 3.8 grade point average as an environmental science major.

Kermack helped the Vikings to a runner-up finish at the Horizon League Championship this year, which included a second place showing in the 200 butterfly by Kermack with a time of 1:46.51.

The Scholar All-America award is presented to college and university swimmers and divers who have achieved a cumulative, or term grade point average of 3.5 or higher for the academic term coinciding with their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA/CCCAA Swimming and Diving Championships and have qualified for and competed at the Championship.

The CSU women's swimming and diving squad was honored as a Scholar All-America Team by the CSCAA last week.
