COLUMBUS, Ohio- Sophomore's Stephen Schillero and Sammie Sposet competed in the NCAA Zone-C Diving meet at Ohio State University. The meet is one of the toughest diving qualifying tournamnets in the country.
CSU's Chris Dalman, Jim Fedor, and Ron Barrick have competed and qualified for the NCAA Championships in the diving program's history, dating back to the mid 70's when the Zone-C Meet has taken place.
Head Coach Rich Karban spoke about their performance. "Both Sammie and Steve deserved to be here to qualify for an NCAA Championship spot. For both Steve and Sammie being sophomores, it is a great honor to compete against other terrific divers around the country," said Karban.
"The scoring is much different than any other regular diving meet. It is much tougher and to have Steve and Sammie compete really helps them know what toexpect down the road."
