Cleveland State, unbeaten in their last six games, welcomes Oakland for a rematch of the 2021 Horizon League Championship game.

Cleveland State tallied three second-half goals to come from behind to defeat Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday, 3-2. Pablo Kawecki tallied the first and third goals while assisting on the second which was scored by Bojan Kolevski.

Oakland got off to a slow start but has won their previous two games, improving to 2-6-2 on the year, and are unbeaten in league play, 2-0-1. The Grizzlies have yet to win away from their home field but have drawn twice, putting them at 0-4-2. OU has scored seven goals this season with Dawn Schrum leading the way with two tallies and two helpers for six points. Horizon League Preseason Poll
Cleveland State was selected to finish second in the Horizon League Preseason Poll, as voted upon by league head coaches. Reigning Horizon League Champions, Oakland topped the Horizon League poll with six first-place votes for 93 points, while the Vikings brought in two first-place votes for 90 points. Milwaukee came in third with a first-place vote for 81 points and Wright State got the last first-place vote for 68 points.
