INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Cleveland State senior midfielder Pablo Kawecki was named the Nike® #HLMSOC Offensive Player of the Week, the Horizon League announced Monday afternoon. Kawecki earns this honor for the first time this season and in his career.
Kawecki guided the Vikings to a 2-0 week on the road, shutting out IUPUI 2-0 and then a 3-2 come from behind victory against Purdue Fort Wayne, 3-2. The senior tallied the first and game-winning goal while adding an assist against the Mastodons in the second half.
The Green and White are off to their fourth-best start in program history and will look to continue that on Saturday against Oakland at 7 p.m. The game is also Alumni Day for the Vikings.
