Cleveland State Announces Signing of Parker Csiszar

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State University head men's soccer coach Sinisa Ubiparipovic announced the signing of Parker Csiszar to a National Letter of Intent Tuesday afternoon.

Csiszar is an attacking midfielder that hails from Medina, Ohio. He has competed for Medina High School and Upper 90 Futbol Club.

"Parker is a very talented soccer player," Ubiparipovic said. "He is skillful, explosive and hard-working. His versatility in the attack and his ability to combine with his teammates to score and create goal-scoring chances is something we are very excited about."

Csiszar was recently named Division I Player of the Year by the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association and was one of 42 players named to the 2019 High School All-America Game in Orlando, Fla.

Csiszar helped lead the Bees to four straight state final four appearances and produced 34 goals and 28 assists in his career. He was named All-Ohio First Team after a junior season in which he led Medina to its first state championship in program history as Csiszar scored the golden goal in overtime in the championship match.

Csiszar was a two-time Medina Gazette MVP and also was named Greater Cleveland Conference Player of the Year and Greater Akron District Player of the Year.

Ubiparipovic recently completed his first season as head coach at CSU and led the Vikings to notable results against nationally ranked Louisville, Ohio State and Akron. The Vikings led the Horizon League in fewest goals allowed, yielding only 17 in 15 matches.
