•The Cleveland State men's soccer team continues the 2014 regular season with one Horizon League match this weekend.
• The Vikings return to league play on Saturday (Oct. 25) with a 1:00 p.m. match at Detroit at Titan Field.
• The Vikings are 5-8 this year and 3-2 in Horizon League play.
• Detroit's record this year is 7-4-2 and the Titans are second place in the league with a 4-1 mark.
• CSU played two games last week, winning 3-1 at Wright State and falling at home to Valparaiso 1-0.
• Wright State struck first but CSU scored three unanswered goals in the second half to take a 3-1 victory.
• Alec Nagucki scored two goals and Jake Lagania added another for his first goal of the season.
• Valparaiso used a goal in the 58th minute that was good enough to beat CSU.
• The Vikings had the advantage in corner kicks in each game for a total of 12-5.
• Nick Ciraldo played all 180-minutes in goal and made seven total saves throughout the week.
• Alec Nagucki leads the team with six points with Alvaro Pichard next with five points and Sergio Manesio, Dan Koniarczyk, and Hesham Hammouda all just behind with four points.
• Nick Ciraldo has played in 12 games and made 48 saves throughout this season.
• The Vikings will play just six home matches this year with 11 contests on the road. CSU played eight straight matches away from home from Aug. 31 through Oct. 4.
• CSU will play four games this year against teams that advanced to the NCAA Championship last season (Akron, California, Milwaukee, Wake Forest).
• CSU returns to action with two games next week, playing at Akron on Tuesday (Oct. 28) at FirstEnergy Stadium-Cub Cadet Field at 7:00 p.m. and hosting UIC on Saturday (Nov. 1) at Krenzler Field at 7 p.m.
