CLEVELAND, Ohio – Head coach Dylan Sheridan of the Cleveland State University lacrosse team announced Monday that 13 student-athletes have committed to join the Vikings for the 2019-2020 academic year.

All 13 of the players will join CSU as true freshmen in 2019. The recruiting class includes student-athletes from six distinct states, including California, Georgia and Texas, and Canada. Six future Vikings hail from Ohio in this class, and they will join 11 Vikings on the current roster from Ohio.

"This group is by far the most talented one we've brought to Cleveland," Sheridan said. "As freshmen, they will benefit greatly from the leadership of our first-ever wave of seniors—Viking lacrosse's inaugural class. I have no doubt the additional time to develop and exposure to such strong veteran leadership will strengthen this group as they look to build on the legacy of their predecessors and take the program to new heights."

Four of CSU's incoming recruits play as defenders and another four are midfielders. The Vikings also welcome two attackman and one face-off specialist, one goaltender and one long-stick midfielder.
