Cleveland State Men’s Golf Posts Seventh Place Finish at Horizon League Championship

Howey in the Hills, FL-The Cleveland State men's golf team finished in seventh place in the Horizon League Men's Golf Championship with play concluding on Monday afternoon. The Vikings finished with a 19-over par 307 in the final round, matching the total form the second round. Clevealnd State finished at 38-over par for the 54-hole event.

Mason Frazier was the low individual finisher for the Vikings posting a 16th-place finish. Frazier carded a final round 5-over 77 which included 13 pars throughout the round.

Andrew Kaye and Brody Simms each finished in a tie for 17th as three Vikings finished in the top-20 individually. Kaye shot 6-over 78 in the final round and Simms closed with a 7-over 79. 

Dillon Pendergast had the low round on day three for the Vikings with a 1-over 73. Pendergast carded three birdies on the back nine in posting an even par 37 on the final nine holes. His round was good enough for a T-34 finish at 13-over for the championship. 

Dominik Cosic finished in 46th place with a 25-over par total. 

Cleveland State concludes the 2023-24 season and will return to action next fall. All seven student-athletes on the roster are slated to return next season.
