Cleveland State Men’s Golf 18th at Wexford Intercollegiate

Hilton Head, SC-The Cleveland State men's golf team concluded its first event of the Spring 2024 season with an 18th place team finish at the Wexford Intercollegiate. The Vikings posted a 32-over par 320 on the final day to finish at 72-over 936 for the three-round event.

Brody Simms carded his lowest round of the tournament with a 2-over 74 in the final round. Simms was the highest individual finisher for the Vikings, closing with a 14-over par total to finish in a tie for 48th. Simms posted six birdies, three on each side, in the final round.

Additional finishers for the Vikings included Mason Frazier who posted a 7-over 79 to finish in a tie for 56th at 15-over par. Andrew Kaye finished tied for 76th at 22-over, Dillon Pendergast finished 82nd at 25-over and Dominik Cosic finished tied for 89th at 40-over.

The Vikings will have a few weeks off before returning to competition on March 17-19 at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate hosted by Tennessee Tech.
