Cleveland State Men's Golf Finishes Opening Tournament in Sixth Place

VERONA, N.Y. – Senior Jules Blakely scored his first ever hole-in-one on the par-3 5th hole of the Kaluhyat Course on day two of the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate. He finished day two with a round of 76 and an aggregate score of 224 to finish the tournament tied for 31st.

TOURNAMENT RECAP
With strong contributions from every competitor, Cleveland State finished sixth out of fifteen teams in with a 54-hole total of 894. The Vikings remained in sixth throughout each round of the tournament and recorded a team score of 305 in the final round of play.

Senior Zach Robbins finished tied for 22nd among individuals after adding a second-day round of 78. He finished the tournament with a six-over par score of 222.

Sophomore Mason Frazier carded rounds of 77-72-77 and finished with a total of 226, tying him for 34th overall in his first collegiate event.

Junior David Laib recorded a team-best third round score of 74 to jump 13 spots in the rankings to 43rd with a total score of 228, and senior Zak Supelak posted rounds of 73-77-80, good for a 50th place finish.

Missouri came back to win the team title with a score of 847, and Missouri's Jack Parker earned medalist honors with a 9-under par score of 207.
