CLEVELAND, Ohio - Both the Cleveland State men's and women's golf teams were tabbed second in the Horizon League Preseason polls that were announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Both teams claimed the League title last year with the CSU men winning its fourth straight and eighth in the last 12 seasons, while the women's squad won the first League title in program history.
Oakland was picked as the League favorite in both polls with 61 points on the men's side and 51 points in the women's poll. The CSU men had 59 points, while the Viking women claimed 48 points.
The men's squad begins the spring season at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate on Feb. 26-27 in Hilton Head, SC, while the CSU women resume its spring slate at the Grand Canyon Invitaitonal on Feb. 24-25.
