Vikings Begin Play in Final Tournament of Fall

KETTERING, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's golf team opened its final event of the fall season with the first two rounds of the Dayton Flyer Invitational on Monday at the par-71, 7,055-yard NCR Country Club.

The Vikings opened the tournament with a 296 and shot a 294 in the afternoon to stand in sixth place in the 11 team field. 

Junior Anton Krecic shot rounds of 72-73 (145) and is in eighth place after two rounds, while senior Joey Krecic is tied for 13th place, one shot back, after shooting 75 and even-par 71.

The trio of senior Blake Prince, junior Nick Infanti and freshman Zak Supelak are all tied for 33rd place with 150 totals. Prince and Infanti both shot back-to-back rounds of 75, while Supelak shot 74-76.

Miami (OH) will enter the final round in the lead after a 36 hole total of 569, seven shots ahead of Ohio State (576). Eastern Michigan is in third place at 579 and is followed by Dayton (580), Illinois State (582), CSU (590), DePaul (591), Northern Kentucky and Fort Wayne (606), Ohio (611) and Wright State (622).

The final round of the event will be played on Tuesday.
