CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's golf team will close out the fall season when the Vikings compete in the Dayton Flyer Invitational on Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 16-17). The event will be played at t the par-71, 7,055-yard NCR South Course.

In addition to CSU and host Dayton, the field includes DePaul, Eastern Michigan, Fort Wayne, Illinois State, Miami (Ohio), Northern Kentucky, Ohio, Ohio State and Wright State.

Teams will play 36 holes on Monday with the final round on Tuesday.

The Vikings have had a strong fall campaign, including a victory in the CSU Invitational in their last event (Oct. 2-3) at Barrington CC. CSU was in third place after the first 36 holes, but used a final round 287 to move into a tie for first place with Oakland. The Vikings used four pars on the first playoff hole to defeat Oakland by one shot in a playoff.

Junior Anton Krecic finished third in the event with rounds of 72-75-70 (217), while senior Joey Krecic placed fourth at 218 (73-78-67). Joey Krecic made eight birdies in the final round en route to his season low round of 67, which also tied the low round on the team this year.

Junior Nick Infanti also placed in the top-10, finishing ninth with a 223 total (75-71-77).

Anton Krecic has been CSU's top finisher in all four events this year and leads the team with a 72.4 scoring average. He has two top-five finishes and has fired six rounds of par or better in his 11 fall rounds.

Senior Blake Prince has posted a 74.4 average, while Infanti (74.5) and Joey Krecic (74.9) are close behind.

Freshman Jules Blakeley has posted a 73.3 average in four rounds, including a 67 in the second round of the CSU Invitational, while freshman Zach Robbins carded a pair of 72's to open the CSU Invitational in his first collegiate event. Senior Matt McAdoo has a 77.0 average, while freshman Zak Supelak is at 76.1, including a pair of rounds at even-par.
