Luth Finishes as Runner-Up at Marshall Invitational as Vikings Tie For Eighth Place

CHARLESTON, W. Va. - Cleveland State senior Patrick Luth shot a final round one-under-par 69 and finished as the runner-up at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational that concluded on Tuesday at the par-70, 6,345-yard Berry Hills CC.

CSU shot a 285 today and tied for eighth place with a 54 hole total of 866 (281-300-285).

Luth, who opened the tournament with a career-low 65 on Monday morning, birdied the par-5 ninth hole today - his final hole of the tournament - to post his second round under par in the event. He also carded an even-par 70 in the second round yesterday, finishing the 54-hole event at six-under-par 204.

Eastern Kentucky's Erik Lindwall earned medalist honors by one shot over Luth, shooting 69-63-71 (203).

Junior Blake Prince tied for 41st place with rounds of 73-75-71 (219), while sophomore Anton Krecic shot 71-78-73 (222) and tied for 48th place.
