Vikings Open Fall Season at Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate

VERONA, N.Y. - The Cleveland State men's golf team opened the 2016 fall season on Sunday at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate, carding rounds of 301 and 294 and is in fourth place out of 14 teams after 36 holes.

The event, hosted by Missouri, is being played at the par-72, 6,857-yard Turning Stone Resort (Kaluhyat Course).

Texas A&M is leading the event with a 36 hole total of 566, while host Missouri is seven shots behind at 573. Toledo is in third place at 579, while CSU (595) and Fort Wayne (602) round out the top-five.

Senior Patrick Luth shot a one-under-par round of 71 to open the tournament and carded a 74 in the afternoon. He is tied for 10th overall with a 145 total.

Junior Blake Prince and sophomore Anton Krecic are tied for 23rd place at 149. Prince shot rounds of 77-72, while Krecic followed a first round 75 with a 74 in the afternoon round.

The final round of the event will be played on Sunday.
