CSU Ties for Seventh at Penn State

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Cleveland State carded a final round 297 and finished tied for seventh out of 12 teams at the Rutherford Intercollegiate that concluded on Sunday at the par-71, 7,202-yard Penn State Blue Course.

CSU's 297 was tied for the second lowest round of the day, just one shot behind Penn State which shot a final round 296 and won the team title. The Vikings moved up two spots to finish tied for seventh with Youngstown State.

Michael Balcar shot a final round one-under-par 70 to finish in 11th place, moving up 14 spots. He finished with a 54-hole total of 220 (71-79-70).

Joey Krecic was 35th overall after rounds of 77-75-76 (228), while Pat Luth tied for 36th place, one shot back. He carded rounds of 79-76-74 (229).

Paul Minko, who was playing as an individual, shot 74-70-75 (219) and placed ninth overall.

The Vikings are back in action from Friday through Sunday (April 24-26) when CSU competes at the Horizon League Championship in Florida.
