Vikings Open Season at Wexford Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Cleveland State men's golf team opened the spring season on Monday at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate that is being played at the 6,828-yard, par 72 Wexford Plantation course.

The Vikings shot a first round 298 and the second round was suspended due to darkness. Teams will resume round two at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday and play the final round immediately after the conclusion of the second round.

CSU is 15-over-par in round two with a majority of the field through 14 to 16 holes.

Freshman Joey Krecic is tied for fifth place overall, carding a three-under-par 69 in the first round and standing at three-over-par through 15 holes in the second round.

He was tied for the lead with his first round 69.
