
GREEN BAY – The Cleveland State men's basketball program clinched at least a share of the Horizon League regular-season championship and wrapped up its second straight No. 1 seed in the conference tournament as the Vikings took down host Green Bay, 79-67, at the Kress Center on Sunday afternoon.
With the victory, CSU clinched a share of the regular-season title for the second straight year, the first time in school history the Vikings accomplished the feat. The Vikings will now host the Horizon quarterfinals on Thursday, March 3 at the Wolstein Center. Time and opponent are still to be determined.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Tre Gomillion's big weekend in Wisconsin continued as the senior guard dropped a career-best 27 points (on 11-of-13 shooting) to lead the way for the Vikings. He also added two rebounds and an assist.
- Yahel Hill dropped 15 points off the bench in just 21 minutes of play to go along with three assists, three steals and a single board.
- Jayson Woodrich contributed seven points, three helpers and two steals.
- D'Moi Hodge also racked up three steals to go with a plus-minus of 15 as he recorded 11 points to round out the CSU attack.
- It was a total team effort in this one today, as only three Cleveland State student-athletes reached double figures. 10 different Vikes scored in total.
- As a team, CSU shot a blistering 62.5 percent from the field, the second-best field goal percentage posted in a game this season.
- Cleveland State won the battle in points off of turnovers (20-15), in the paint (46-30), on the fast break (16-10) and off the bench (32-23).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The game got off to a back-and-forth affair as the Vikes and Phoenix were all tied up at 17 over the first 10 minutes of the opening half.
- The trend would continue over the final 10 minutes as the first half would close with the Vikings up by a slim 34-31 margin.
- Green Bay continued to give Cleveland State a run for its money as it was able to tie up the contest at 54 with 10:17 left to play.
- The Vikings had enough of the hosts, and ended the game on 25-13 run to clinch the victory and the program's second straight Horizon League championship.

The road trip to conclude the season continues as the Vikings head to the motor city for a showdown with Detroit Mercy on Thursday, Feb. 24. Tipoff is set for 7 PM ET and the game will be played in front of a national audience on ESPN+.
HORIZON LEAGUE TOURNAMENT TICKETS
While the opponent is not set, the Vikings secured home court advantage on March 3 in the quarterfinal round of the Horizon League Men's Basketball Championship. Tickets purchased in advance are $6 and $10 at the door the day of the game.
With a tentative tip-off set for 7pm, Viking Women's Basketball is also in position to potentially host a quarterfinal match up. In the event of a double header with the men, the women will play at 5:30pm and the men at 8pm. Tickets will still be $6 in advance and $10 at the door and good for admission to both games.
