GAME PREVIEW: 
• Cleveland State continues a four-game homestand Tuesday (Nov. 13) with a 7:00 p.m. tip against Urbana.
• The Vikings (0-2) will be looking for their first win of the season after having a comeback attempt come up just short to Kent State in CSU's home opener this past weekend.
• Urbana is 0-1 after dropping a 78-72 decision to Salem in its season opener this past Friday.
• CSU's game will be broadcast live on AM 1420 with Al Pawlowski and Pat Vuyancih on the call.
• The game will also be shown live on ESPN+.

THE URBANA SERIES: 
• Tuesday's game will be the second all-time meeting with the Vikings winning the only prior matchup early in the 2010-11 season.
• CSU scored 47 second-half points against the Blue Knights in that meeting to turn a nine-point halftime lead into an 83-49 win. 
• That game was the fourth in four days for the Vikings as they opened the season by hosting the World Vision Classic.
• Four Vikings reached double figures against Urbana, led by 19 from Norris Cole on 7-of-9 shooting from the floor.

GAME 2: KENT STATE 83, CSU 79 (11/10/18): 
• CSU mounted multiple comeback attempts but fell just short to Kent State in its home opener, 83-79.
• CSU had a pair of three-point attempts in the final 40 seconds to take the lead, but neither one went down.
• Kent State made 27-of-38 from the free throw line while the Vikings went just 17-of-32 from the charity stripe.
Tyree Appleby had a career-high 28 points while Jaalam Hill had 15 points and six rebounds in the setback.

EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE: 
• Junior college transfer Jaalam Hill is shooting 90 percent from the floor in the early going (9-for-10).
• Hill had 15 points, on 6-for-7 shooting, and six boards last time out against Kent State.
• Hill is averaging 10.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in 18.5 minutes.

EARLY TRENDS: 
• CSU has had a higher shooting percentage from the field than its opponent in each of its two games thus far.
• The Vikings' bench has outscored its opponents, 63-24, in the opening two games.
Rashad Williams has 22 total points off the bench while Jaalam Hill has 21.
• CSU and its opponents both have 24 turnovers on the year.

CLOSE AND LATE: 
• After going 2-5 in its first seven one-possession games last season, Cleveland State won its final six games of the season that were decided by one possession or went to overtime, including two in the Horizon League Tournament.

SEVEN MAKE DEBUT: 
• Seven players have made their Cleveland State debut this season.
• That group includes five true freshmen--Deante Johnson, Seth Millner, Aleksa PopovicDibaji Walker and Rashad Williams--along with junior Jaalam Hill and sophomore Algevon Eichelberger.
• Millner is the lone true freshman to start a contest this season.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: 
• Freshman Rashad Williams scored 15 points in his debut in just 19 minutes as he shot 5-of-7 from distance.
• Williams is averaging 11.0 points in 16.5 minutes while shooting .533 from the floor.
• Classmate Seth Millner is averaging 8.0 points and 3.5 rebounds and only has one turnover on the young season.

PRESEASON PROGNOSTICATIONS: 
• Cleveland State was tabbed seventh in the Horizon League preseason poll.
Tyree Appleby was named to Preseason All-League First Team, the first Viking to earn that honor since the 2014-15 campaign.

TYREE IS KEY: 
Tyree Appleby was named to the League's All-Freshman team last season after averaging 11.8 points, 2.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game.
• Appleby finished among the top five all-time totals by a CSU freshman in the following categories: free throws made (106), free throws attempted (148), games played (34), assists (135), steals (44), minutes (874) and points (400).
• He raised his game in the Horizon League Tournament, averaging 15.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game over the team's four-game run.

TYREE FOR THREE: 
Tyree Appleby scored a career-high 28 points against Kent State on the strength of a career-best five three-pointers.
• All 28 of his points came in the second half as he shot 5-of-8 from distance in the frame.

FOR THREE:
• CSU enters Saturday's game with a school record streak of 634 straight games with a three-pointer.
• The Vikings have hit at least three three's in 183 straight games.
• The last time CSU failed to make a three-pointer was Feb. 21, 1998, when the Vikings were 0-for-8 in a 60-57 win over Detroit.

FOR THREE, PART TWO
• The Vikings set a single-season school record for three-pointers made (294) and threes attempted (863) in 2017-18, breaking the old records of 247 makes and 709 attempts.
• CSU tied the single-game school record of 14 three pointers made in four different games last year.

FOR THREE, PART THREE
• The Vikings went 10-for-20 from distance in the season opener at Davidson.
• Nine of the 10 triples were converted by true freshmen.

UP NEXT: 
• CSU opens the Buckeye Basketball Classic by hosting South Carolina State Friday, Nov. 16, at 7:00 p.m. It is the third game of a four-game homestand.
