CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State freshman men's basketball player Stefan Kenic (Belgrade, Serbia) is currently competing in the FIBA U 20 World Championships in Greece.

Kenic, who has a long tradition with the Serbian National Team, helped the squad to a 2-1 record in pool play.

He played sparingly in a 77-69 win over Italy (July 15) as he worked his way back from an injury. The following day, Kenic drew a starting assignment in an 82-57 win over Slovenia and scored five points with one rebound and one assist in 14 minutes of action.

Kenic came off the bench and played 15 minutes in Serbia's final game in Group D, an 88-87 setback to Spain. He posted five points, six rebounds and two assists with a 15 efficiency, the second highest on the team.

Serbia, which finished as the runner-up of Group D behind Spain, opens bracket play on Wednesday (July 16) with a first round game against Ukraine, which placed third in Group C. The winner advances to play the winner of another opening round game between France and the Czech Republic in a quaterfinal contest on Thursday (July 20).

The semifinals will be played on Saturday (July 22) with the championship game on Sunday (July 23).
