CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's basketball team has earned the No. 4 seed in the 2015 Horizon League tournament and will open play with a second round game on Friday night (March 6) at 9:30 p.m. EST against No. 5 Detroit or No. 8 Youngstown State in Valparaiso, Ind.
YSU travels to Detroit for a first round game on Tuesday night with the winner advancing to play CSU on Friday night.
The winner of the second round game advances to the semfinals to play at top-seeded Valparaiso on Saturday night at 9:30 p.m. EST.
The other side of the bracket features No. 7 Wright State traveling to No. 6 UIC for a first round match on Tuesday with the winner facing third-seeded Oakland on Friday night in Valparaiso at 7:00 p.m.
The winner of that second round game faces No. 2 seeded Green Bay in the first semifinal on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at Valparaiso.
The highest remaining seed in the tournament will host the championship game on Tuesday (March 10) at 7:00 p.m.
CSU finished the regular season with a 17-13 record and tied for third place in the Horizon League at 11-5 with Oakland. The Golden Grizzlies earned the No. 3 seed on a tiebreaker with CSU, having gone 1-1 against Valparaiso with CSU going 0-2 vs. the Crusaders.
