POUGKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Cleveland State wrapped up a successful weekend of dual meet action, posting five wins in eight tries at the Vassar Duals on Sunday. The Viking men went 3-1, while the women posted a 2-2 mark.

"Overall, it was a very good weekend for us," CSU head coach Jim Sager said. "We started out a little slow against Vassar this morning, but I was very pleased with our performance. We can't wait to get home and fence in front of our fans and alumni in a few weeks."

The men defeated Yeshiva (25-2), Marist (25-2) and Sacred Heart (16-11), falling only to Vassar (18-9). Freshmen Shawn Wright paced the Vikings with an 11-1 mark in epee.

On the women's side, junior foilist Leigh Pendergrass was a spotless 12-0 to help CSU to a split on the day. The Vikings topped CCNY (18-9) and Marist (21-6), while dropping identical 17-10 decisions to Vassar and Sacred Heart.

Cleveland State is in action again when it hosts Bowling Green, Case and Oberlin in Alumni Day action on Dec. 2.
