COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Cleveland State University fencing team continued its season at the Elite Invitational Duals Saturday inside Ohio State's French Field House.
Both CSU squads went 0-3 on the day against tough competition. The Viking men fell to Air Force (7-17), Penn (0-24) and Ohio State (1-26) while the CSU women came up short against Northwestern (5-22), Air Force (1-26) and Ohio State (1-26).
Freshman Declan Forth led the Viking men with four wins on the day in the saber category. Sophomore Jonah Kasallis picked up a pair of wins in epee against Air Force as well.
Senior Sarah Mok led the Cleveland State women by tallying four wins in the foil discipline. Junior Jennifer Wisniewski picked up a pair of wins in the epee event as well.
Cleveland State will close participation in the event Sunday by facing three more opponents.
