Cleveland, Ohio - A trio of student-athletes on the Cleveland State University fencing team competed at the CWRU Open this past weekend.
Sophomore Colton Porter was the highest finisher of the group as he placed fifth in the foil event.
Freshmen Corban Walker and Burton Hirschman were sixth and 10th in the saber and epee events, respectively.
Cleveland State will take now take two weeks off before resuming action. The Vikings will participate in their second team-format competition of the season Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Case Western Duals.
