Fencing Competes At Ohio State Duals

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's and women's fencing teams competed at the Ohio State duals over the weekend, resulting in three wins for the men's side.

The men picked up wins over Oakland (17-4), Toledo (14-13) and Bowling Green (14-13). Their only loss of the day came to the hosts, Ohio State, by a score of 22-5. The CSU foil squad recorded solid scores in all four matches, outscoring Oakland 8-1, Toledo 9-0, Bowling Green 8-1 and scoring two points vs. Ohio State.

The women's team managed a tie vs. Bowling Green, 9-9, and in a loss vs. Oakland, the epee squad outscored the Golden Grizzlies 8-1. The epee squad also performed well vs. Toledo, outscoring the Rockets 9-0.

The Vikings will be back in action on Halloween (Oct. 31) at the Northwestern Duals.
