CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State University Athletic Department and cheer team will hold a spring cheerleading tryout for the 2015-16 season on Sunday, June 7 from 10AM – 2:00PM.

There will be MANDATORY pre-tryout clinic held on Saturday, June 6 from 11:00AM – 2:00PM. Pre-tryout clinic will be in the Aux Gym of the Wolstein Center.

Open gyms will be held for current and incoming CSU students in the aux gym every Wednesday until tryouts (5/20, 5/27, 6/3)

To tryout, cheerleaders must provide:
·$50 fee due at the first clinic you attend (non-refundable)
·Valid Viking Card
·Proof of a physical performed within the last 12 months
·Proof of medical insurance

Tryout Requirements:
·High emphasis on strong motion technique
·Level jumps or better
·Stunting experience strongly recommended
·Standing Backhandspring*
·Running Backhandspring*

*If an athlete shows the potential to acquire tumbling skills, that athlete may be given the summer to perfect the required skill.
