CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State University Athletic Department will hold a fall cheerleading tryout for the 2014-15 season on Sunday, October 19, 2014. Interviews will be conducted from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. with tryouts beginning at 6:30 p.m.

There will be pre-tryout clinic held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Pre-tryout clinic  will be from 7:00-10:00 p.m. in the Aux Gym of the Wolstein Center.

To tryout, cheerleaders must provide:
·$50 fee due at the first clinic you attend (non-refundable)
·Valid Viking Card
·Proof of a physical performed within the last 12 months (Prior to October 2013 will not be accepted)
·Proof of medical insurance

Tryout Requirements:
·High emphasis on strong motion technique
·Level jumps or better
·Stunting experience strongly recommended
·Standing Backhandspring*
·Running Backhandspring*

*If an athlete shows the potential to acquire tumbling skills, that athlete may be given the summer to perfect the required skill.
