Women's Basketball
- Cleveland State (3-8) will begin Horizon League play this weekend, traveling to Oakland (Friday, December 28) and Detroit Mercy (Sunday, December 30) for the first #HLWBB roadswing of the year.
- Entering the weekend, the Vikings lead the league with a .433 field goal percentage, while they rank second averaging 71.0 points per game.
- Earlier this week, Savanna Crockett picked up her third #HLWBB Freshman of the Week honor after posting her sixth double-double in the non-league finale against Bradley with 10 points and 14 rebounds.

Men's Basketball
- The Vikings (5-8) will kick off Horizon League play this weekend, hosting Oakland (Friday, December 28) and Detroit Mercy (Sunday, December 30) to close out the 2018 calendar year.
- Last time out, Cleveland State picked up an 82-60 victory over Niagara in the non-league finale, with five Vikings finishing the game with double-digit points.
- Entering league play, Tyree Appleby ranks fifth among league players in scoring (16.8 ppg) and second in assists (5.3 apg), while Jaalam Hill ranks sixth averaging 7.0 rebounds per game. 

Wrestling
- Cleveland State will close out the 2018 calendar year this weekend, taking part in the Lock Haven Classic on Saturday, December 29.
- The Vikings will be participating in the bracket-style event for the first time in program history.
- Entering the weekend, redshirt senior Armando Torres has a team-high 19 wins, while redshirt sophomore Nico O'Dor follows with 16 victories.

Mariah White, Women's Basketball
The sophomore recorded a team-high 22 points against Bradley in the non-league finale, marking the second 20-point game of her career. White also finished with seven rebounds, three assists and one steal on the game, and enters the weekend as one of four Vikings averaging double-digit points with 11.8 points per game.
