A look at what's happening in Cleveland State Athletics...

Men's Basketball
- Cleveland State (4-7) will take some time off for final exams before playing its non-conference road finale Sunday, December 16, at Illinois State.
- The Vikings won a pair of games this past week, knocking off Bowling Green (82-64) before handling Notre Dame (Ohio) (77-56).
- Sophomore Tyree Appleby had a career-high 37 points against BG before tallying his first career double-double vs. NDC as he notched a career-high 10 assists.

Women's Basketball
- Cleveland State (3-7) will take the week off from competition, returning to the court on Wednesday, December 19 when the Vikings host Bradley at 5:00 p.m.
- Last time out, the Vikings dropped a pair of hard fought contests against Toledo (65-60) and Marshall (86-64), and will be closing out non-league play when they return to action against Bradley.
- After the first five weeks of the 2018-19 season, four Vikings are averaging double-digit points, including freshman Savanna Crockett (12.0 ppg) who also leads the team averaging 9.6 boards per contest.

Men's Swimming & Diving
- Cleveland State will be off from competition over the semester break before resuming action in January.
- CSU claimed a 164-107 win at Ashland this past weekend.
- Sophomore Matt Akers posted NCAA qualifying scores in both diving events while senior Curtis Roden hit the standard in the 3-meter event.

Women's Swimming & Diving
- Cleveland State will be off from competition over the semester break before resuming action in January.
- CSU took home a 182-96 win at Ashland this past weekend.
- Sophomores Shaw Barney, Erica Henrichsen and Irena Weclawiak all won multiple events in the dual with the Eagles.

Wrestling
- Cleveland State will host the 14th annual Cleveland State Open this Saturday, December 15, in Woodling Gym.
- The Vikings returned to dual action this past Sunday and cruised to wins over Otterbein (47-6) and John Carroll (33-5).
- Seven Vikings won multiple matches on the day with redshirt senior Armando Torres twice collecting technical falls.

Tyree Appleby, Men's Basketball
The sophomore led the Vikings to a pair of wins against Bowling Green and Notre Dame (OH) last week, averaging 24.5 points, 9.0 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game. He notched a career-high 37 points against Bowling Green in the first game of the week, and then followed that up with his first career double-double with 12 points and 12 assists against NDC.
