A look at what's happening in Cleveland State Athletics...

Men's Soccer
- Cleveland State will open the road portion of its Horizon League schedule with a trip to Milwaukee Saturday, September 15.
- The Vikings opened HL play this past weekend and dropped a 2-1 decision to defending regular-season champion Green Bay despite outshooting the Phoenix, 12-5.
- Senior Noah Pio scored his first goal of the season in the setback.

Women's Soccer
- Cleveland State (4-4) will begin Horizon League play this week, hosting defending #HLWSOC champion IUPUI at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 14.
- The Vikings closed out their non-league schedule last weekend, picking up a 4-0 victory against Ohio and dropping a tough 1-0 decision at Canisius.
- Last Friday's contest against Ohio marked Senior Night for the Vikings, with a senior scoring or assisting on all four goals in the 4-0 shutout.
- Entering league play, Jenna Prathapa and Sarah Krause are tied at the top of the league standings with three goals on the year, while Dani Sowinski leads all league players with six assists.

Volleyball
- The Vikings (4-5) will close out non-league play at the Bulldog Brawl this weekend, traveling to Indianapolis, Ind. to take on Santa Clara (Friday, September 14), Butler (Friday, September 14) and Kent State (Saturday, September 15).
- Last time out, the Vikings hosted their second invitational of the season, falling to UC Irvine (3-0), No. 11 Illinois (3-0) and Bowling Green (3-2).
- In the weekend finale against Bowling Green, Rachael Dohar tallied a career-high 30 digs, marking the first 30-dig match for the Vikings since the 2015 season.

Cross Country
- Cleveland State will have a few weeks off from competition, returning to action at the All-Ohio Championship on Saturday, September 29.
- Last weekend the Vikings placed fifth at the Tommy Evans Invitational, taking part in their second 5K race of the season.
- The Vikings were paced by sophomore Anna Brandt who finished fourth overall in a career-best time of 18:19 - which ranks third on the CSU Top Times List.

Men's Golf
- Cleveland State will play its second of five fall tournaments this Saturday and Sunday (September 15-16), as it competes in the EKU Intercollegiate hosted by Eastern Kentucky.
- The Vikings finished 13th of 18 teams at the season-opening Turning Stone Tiger Invitational at the beginning of the month.
- Freshman Jack Hanus led CSU at that event, posting a -3 (213), and finishing tied for fifth among the 100 participants.

Viking of the Week

Women's Soccer Senior Class
The Vikings celebrated Senior Night for the 2018 Senior Class last Friday prior to the match against Ohio, with the group leading the Vikings to a 4-0 victory over the Bobcats. At least one senior scored or assisted on all four goals, including the game-winning goal from McKenna Vento that was assisted by Dani Sowinski and Carly Cerny.
