Viking Fall Sports to be Featured Over 30 Times on ESPN3 and ESPN+

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Continuing its longstanding and innovative partnership with ESPN, the Horizon League announced Tuesday afternoon it will broadcast more than 185 volleyball, women's soccer and men's soccer regular season and championship contests over its digital streaming services this fall on ESPN+ and ESPN3.

Thirty three regular-season contests featuring Cleveland State will be broadcast on either ESPN+ or ESPN3 this fall as part of the Horizon League's package. This includes Horizon League matches, at home and on the road, and a select group of home, non-conference matches.

The Cleveland State volleyball team, the defending Horizon League champions, will have 15 of its 16 HL matches broadcast on either ESPN3 or ESPN+ while both soccer programs will have seven of their League matches broadcast on those networks.

ESPN+, which will host the Horizon League women's soccer, men's soccer and volleyball championships, offers fans thousands of live events, on-demand content and original programming not available on ESPN's linear TV or digital networks. Fans can subscribe to ESPN+ for just $4.99 a month (or $49.99 per year) and cancel at any time.

Last year, Horizon League institutions produced over 600 live events with viewers consuming more than 30 million minutes of content, providing major visibility and highlighting the league's 2,700 student-athletes. The Horizon League and ESPN+ partnered during its launch in April 2018 as the spring championships were aired on the new platform.

Cleveland State's first event to be featured as part of the League's fall broadcast package will be the men's soccer team's home opener against Cincinnati Friday, August 31, on ESPN+.
