CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's tennis and women's golf teams received the 2017-18 Raise Your Sights Award from the Horizon League that were announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The honor is given annually to the best sport teams academically and is based on combined grade point average (GPA) from the current academic year. The award recognizes the top academic male and female team from each Horizon League institution.

Eleven different sport programs were represented with men's tennis receiving the most representation on the list with four programs with the top GPA at their university. Men's and women's golf each had three teams that were the best academically at their respective schools, while volleyball and men's cross country had two teams each at the top of the institution.
